[TUT] How to add new items to your item filter

Post by Guest on Wed Aug 12, 2009 8:00 am

Thread created by Ant3.
Here is an Item Filter script for eMS v57. But how do you add new items?
There's currently no items blocked.

Code:
// Updated By Sezabi
// 0.57 EMS
// AOBs: 89 47 34 8B 7D EC 8B CE E8 DD 66 F7 FF 89 47 24
[enable]
Alloc(filter,124)
label(ifreject)
label(end)
label(skip)
Alloc(iftable,512)
label(ifexit)

filter:
push ebx
push esi
xor ebx, ebx
mov esi,iftable

ifreject:
cmp eax,[esi]
je skip
cmp [esi],ebx
je end
add esi,4
jmp ifreject

skip:
mov eax,00

end:
pop esi
pop ebx
mov [edi+34], eax
mov edi, [ebp-14]
jmp ifexit

iftable:
//dd <Item ID>
dd 00

004D35BE:
jmp filter
nop
ifexit:

[disable]
004D35BE:
mov [edi+34], eax
mov edi, [ebp-14]
dealloc(filter,124)
dealloc(iftable,512)
We have to find the ID of the item we want to block.

I want to block "Charm of the Undead".

There's diffrent ways to find the ID we need, but the easiest way is websites.
But you can also find it by looking in the string.wz file*
I prefer www.sauna.gibbed.us or www.mapletip.com

Let's use www.mapletip.com.

We start with simply searching for the item, in my case "Charm of the undead".

Press 'View More Info" and look at the URL and make sure it's the right item.

There we got the ID, in decimal, but we need it in heximal, so we have to convert it.

You can use any decimal to heximal converter which you easily can find with google, or you can use a calc, or an engine, that's the way I'm going to find it.

Take the proccess of Maplestory (or some other proccess) and do like this:

Now press [ ], and it will turn into heximal.
There we got the ID we need.

Now we have to add it to the script.

Code:

iftable:
// dd
dd 00
In my case, I have to change it to:
Code:

iftable:
dd 3D0908 // Charm of the Undead
dd 00

You can add as many items as you want to block, just add "dd <ID>"
Code:

iftable:
dd 3D0908 // Charm of the Undead
dd 1F6EE0 // Arrow for Bow
dd 1F72C8 // Arrow for Crossbow
dd 00
*How to find the ID by looking in the string.wz.

Its a stupid idea to use CE to convert IDs from DEC to HEX, windows Calc is much faster Smile
And one more thing - why use DeMsWz when you got HaRepacker Smile
Else - great tutorial.

Yeah, but it goes faster to be if I use CE.

I got a question tho, is it possible to filter Meso via Item Filter? o.O or isn't meso in the category of items and it needs another script? too bad meso has no ID...

It can be filtered out, but i cant think of a reason why you would like to do so.
